Underbelly North Park is open, it’s still crazy to think how far we’ve come as a simple group of misfits that never quite “fit in” wanting to create a place that would bring people together, a place where we could share the ideas and things that we were passionate about from good food, good drink and good design to Steinbeck novels, Chuck Berry and Wu-Tang, we hoped that their were more people like us or enough that at least we’re willing to give us a chance. We’ve never had all the answers, but we’ve never stopped asking questions. it hasn’t always been pretty but we are grateful that our community and peers have embraced our imperfections and shortcomings as well as our strengths, thank you to our crew and neighbors and everyone who has walked through our doors and been apart of our history, present and future.

All CH establishments will be closed this evening for an all crew shindig, and to pay our respects to our worthy adversary, the almighty, all knowing television. On this holiest of television watching days we acquiesce defeat. Gods of the National Broadcasting Company and National Football League we salute you, but will resume the fight tomorrow. The written word has always mattered to us, a blank piece of paper and pen has always given us a special kind of freedom to create and communicate, it was from this idea that we decided to give our guests a moleskin notebook with their tab, to take a few minutes to communicate and express themselves, whether it’s to let us know how we suck or something more intimate about themselves, and they in return can see the thoughts of the people who came before them, and in the process make a fluid connection. We’ve been doing this for a quite a few years now, and have realized that when given the opportunity to anonymously express themselves most of us revert back to the almighty dick. Apparently Freud was right. We have now amassed a collection of thousands of random dick pics, and still hope we can put this collection toward a more useful expression. #inauguralCHdickofthemonthcomingsoon

The Evil Twin X Noma/Rene Redzepi collaboration Is f—ing delightful. It’s truly impressive when a great brewer and the “best restaurant/chef in the world” do a collaboration and it actually lives up to the hype.
